Barry Manilow, #1 Again After 29 Years

Are we living in a time warp? The Rolling Stones do the half-time show at the Grammys, Cream and the Sex Pistols are talking about reuniting for a few shows (respectively), and ...
Barry Manilow has the #1 album in the country. Despite the fact that critics have largely panned his
Greatest Songs of the Fifties, Manilow beat out Mary J. Blige and Jamie Foxx (whose albums came in #2 and #4); it's his first #1 album since 1977's
Live.
Coming in high, at #3, is Andrea Bocelli's Amore, his best charting album ever. Also charging into the Top 10, at #5, is Heather Headley's In My Mind. Last week's #1, Ancora by pop-opera group Il Divo slides to #6, followed by Eminem's Curtain Call and Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts. James Blunt rebounds back into the Top 10 after sitting at #11 last week; his Back to Bedlam is #9, tailed by Train, who debuts into the Top 10 with For Me, It's You. Of the new albums entering the charts, keep an eye on Razor and Tie's Monster Ballads: Platinum Edition, currently at #18, and possibly ready to hoist itself into the Top 10, especially if the week is otherwise slow.
